Translated from the heart-touching play by Duncan Macmillan, and transplanted to the nostalgic early-2000s China context, 好棒清单 is a bold experiment of the interactivity of virtual theater: audiences are randomly picked by “zoom manager” to turn on their camera and interact with the actor, improvising their own versions of the story. The online meeting platform ZOOM is transformed into a community space for sharing, creating and healing.
